The Charley River

Located in the Yukon/Charley Rivers National Park

The Charley River has long been a favorite river for rafters whether hunting or on an adventure of a lifetime. 

We offer raft rentals and air transportation to this area for independent kayak or raft float trips and 40 Mile Caribou herd hunting drop-offs. 

The two landing locations; Three fingers strip at Copper & Crescent Creek confluence and the Gelvin Strip on the Charley River give you several options to choose from for your adventure. Floating from Three Fingers to Circle City on the Yukon River takes an average of 7-9 days depending on water levels and time spent floating daily.

Caribou hunting trips can be done with a drop-off and pick-up or a float trip to Circle. Caribou hunting in area 20E has been subject to early closure in the past but the last few years have remained open as stated in the regulations. Dall Sheep hunting is possible on this river as is moose, Black Bear and Grizzly Bear hunting.

Locations on the Charley River are within one hour of our base of operations, making Circle Air the closest operator in the Yukon/Charley Rivers National Park. We have over 10 years of experience flying commercial into the Charley River.

We have lodging available to accommodate groups of up to 12.
