INVITES YOU

to visit THE COASTAL PLAINS of

ALASKA'S ARCTIC NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE

The Arctic Coastal Plains are between the North side of the Brooks Range and the Arctic Ocean.

It is the calving grounds of the Porcupine Caribou herd.

It is also home every summer to hundreds of migratory bird species. a place where they are able to raise their young with the greatest amount of insect larvae to feed on and the least amount of predation to fear.

It  also includes a small area referred to as the 1002 area, which is under much debate as to whether it should be drilled for oil in this location, which could change this wilderness forever.

The  Jago River, the Aichilik River, and the Hulahula River are just some of the rivers we can fly to.
